Joan held the steering wheel with every strength in her as she kept looking at her rear mirror. She was careful not to over step on the pedal, the last thing she needed was for a patrol officer to stop her for overspeeding and she will lose all her progress so far. Oh hell will get hotter if she ever gets caught! But she won't get caught, she muttered over and over to herself. When crossed state lines into the next state, she willed her heartbeat to return to almost normal. Oh how she had masterminded her escape, part of her had been so scared that he will catch her. She had become everything he had wanted so he can relax his guard. Yes, he had raped her over and over but she was already numb to that kind of pain. The beatings and name callings were no longer as frequent as it used to be, she knew she had to leave. If he loses interest in giving her pain then it means he has found another fascination and he might "eliminate" her.
Lost in thought she didn't know when she crossed another state line, she felt her eyes start drifting close. She needs to find a motel at least. She had withdrawn cash in bits so she won't have to use her card and he will find her. Kamze never loses, he always wants the last laugh. Her eyes drifted shut a bit and she felt herself lose control of the steering wheel and car veered of the road and she snapped out of the drowsiness, as she tried to avoid a stray cat she hit a tree she didn't see. Her airbag deployed. "It is better to die in the hands of nature than to face whatever plans Kamze had for her." Was the last thoughts she had.
Stanley heard a sound like metal hitting something in his backyard. His dog went into sporadic barking and just wouldn't stop. With a sigh he decided to check it out. He was shocked to see a car rammed into his tree. At first he was angry that the driver was drunk until he saw a young lady with a bleeding head wound. Zack looks like we got company.
