CONFUSED
Jane stood by her husband's graveside while the priest did the final service. Her eyes were dry and she was yet ai shed tear since her husband was confirmed dead at the hospital. Her sun shades shielded her tearless eyes. Her children, two young women and two young men flanked her sides. They all had the same rigid composure and probably, the same line of thought, "thank God, it was over finally."
Jane couldn't wait to leave the cemetery so that she can start her life again. While she was still urging the priest in her mind to be fast about the Service, one woman ran to the graveside and started wailing seriously.
"John, how can you leave me now? After all the plans we made? JJ and Jacy will miss you terribly."
She wailed and wailed. Jane looked at her children and wondered if the woman is in the wrong burial.
Even the priest had to pause before continuing.
It was obvious that the woman was grieved and probably knew her John more intimately than was comfortable.
After the service was over, Jane walked up to the woman, where she stood by the side weeping silently.
"Excuse me ma'am. Please who is the dead person to you?"
Through tears and sniffling, she answered "he was my husband. We have been married for five years and I have two kids for him. He is the most loving man I have ever met. How will he leave me like this? We had plans."
Jane didn't know how to feel about this news. The John she knew was a wife beater, child molester, she and her children went through all manner of abuse in the twenty years they spent with him. Yet, here is a woman claiming being married to him.
"Ma, what's his name? Are you sure he is the same person because I married this man for 20 years before he died in an accident."
The woman looked at her with sudden clear eyes and said, "I know. You are Jane."
