With expression as fierce,
He walked towards me like I owed him.
I was just meeting him for the first time.

Fear wasn't what I felt,
Anticipation raced through my blood,
There was a recognition of him.

I knew him not before that day,
Yet it felt like we knew forever.
The scowl deepened, maybe I was wrong.

Time flew,
While we trekked to meet it,
Uncovering our likeness as we walked.

Friendship solid and pure we built,
Love enduring we found,
But we are meant for different people.

Our hearts knew each other,
Our legs found each other,
But we laid in another's arms.

Fate. Destiny. Desire.
We always found our way back,
In another lifetime, maybe.
