“Same story everyday” said Destiny to himself, “when would she pay me my money? Reding international School is an upcoming school with few teachers but was know by those living in the community has the debtors school. In as much as it had that reputation people still brought their wards because it was affordable. Parents owed school fees which made it difficult for the owner of the school to pay. Destiny was a young Ssce holder, who wished to further is education in the university. His parents where separated and his dad was jobless. He was the first child and took care of his younger siblings needs. His younger sister assisted in reducing the burden for him, by Hawking in the streets of Lagos after school. Life was so hard for them that he felt like giving up. As he struggled with his thought, he met people shouting “thief thief thief”, he decided to ignore since the jungle justice was none of his business. He heard a voice he was familiar with “please please don’t kill me , I am very hungry that’s why I had to steal it”. He turned back to see who the person was , the crowd was too tight that he had to push through, low and behold his younger brother was covered in the pool of his blood. “Chisom what Happened? He said in tears. Please don’t kill him how much worth of goods did he steal?
“Fifty niara”, a voice said.
“Just fifty niara and you want to kill this young boy , you people don’t have conscience ooo”, he said crying. “have this one thousand niara it Should be enough for all the damages please let him go”.
“You dey lucky” another voice said in pidgin if not you for don scape goat”.
“Come let’s go home”, Destiny said don’t ever try this again.
