But to the fate I dreamt of,
it is just a two minutes walk.
My true destination lies within,
it's just a cubit meter heart work.
Beyond the distances and the time,
are the moans, the cries and smiles.
Still the sun doesn't feel as if in sight,
though it's scorching from where I lie.
Hard times, there are hard times.
If I could simply journey by mind
and get a hold on the gold, mine;
if I could simply see it and live it,
if both my eyeballs can take me
to where my mind hopes to be...
But added to me are padded feet,
for only these walk to a well dream.
And just the mind of the other dogs,
other than that of the bacon minions
can take the tongue to a bony reward.
So, I count the cost of compromise,
cut the smart intrigues of shortcuts,
save the naira for the worthy pound,
just so my lost coin may get found.
