'Patricia, I'm all changed now, you know? I know I hurt you then but let me make it up to you', the tall, dark figure of a David stood, with his right hand on Patricia's shoulder, his ex girlfriend who was listening attentively to her ex's please.
Both their lives had taken an Ugly shape since they were together, and they've both been involved in some dirty acts together, and she called it quits with him, when she discovered that David had been cheating on her because she refused him sex.
Well, that was two months ago and now he had realized how much he misses her, especially her words of encouragement and so, he mustered all the courage he had left to ask for a start over.
'I miss our friendship too Dave but I discovered that not all friends are good for the altar after all', She replied after much sugar talks from David. 'How about a startover dinner tomorrow evening,6pm?', asked David, his prince charming look now surfacing. 'I don't know Dave...',she said, reluctantly
'Well, I know my babe's yes when I hear it!', He said with a tone of achievement.
'Alright Dave, a friendly dinner'
'Well, if that's what you call it, see you tomorrow!',he winked as he waved goodbye.

'This has always been your best place, trish', David broke the silence, his white shirt reflecting the blue lights towards Patricia's red gown. That goes was the first item she bought from her first month's profit of the business she just started.
'Actually Dave, not anymore. The college library is...', She confidently replied, certain she had been living well. '...So, how have you been this past year?', she continued.
'I've been around and I'm sure you couldn't live without me. Sorry for that', he replied. 'Well, sorry to burst your bubbles but... I've moved, I'm not the same girl a year ago and I've lived better in this past year',she finished with a sip of the drink.
Apparently, sweet David's heart had just been thrown into fire as he threw his napkin on the table and hollered,'Gee! the attitude, you still have this daring attitude, who's the speech for? I'm sure you never went for a fancy date in the past year. You know, your life is colorless without me, just admit it and stop being so rigid!' Well, his statement sure pressed Patricia's red button but she elegantly stood, her bright eyes directed at David's as she stated, 'I thought you changed, but you're still the same selfish boy I dated and....', now bending closely, her lips close to his ear,she whispered, '...Fancy dates don't make me, I make them'. Then, she picked her purse and said finally, 'Don't worry about my bill, I'll pay' ,her gentle gait exits the room as David hits his fist on the table in hateful rage.
