With hopes of my existence being memorable
Afraid of exposing my wrongs unfavorably
I lied to cover imperfections perfectly
Now I’m afraid for it not being good enough
Many are my mistakes and many I tried to cover
Covering for my faults I’ve lied even to my lover
A string of lie has gathered much more
In search for a perfect tale now chances are poor
The more I acclaim perfect the more imperfect I become
Knowing the truth will uncover in time to come
So I told same stories everywhere I went
Now my life is full of lies. That, I regret
Understanding that life is full of rights and wrongs
And opportunities for me to right my wrongs
Breaking the shell I laid inside
Having life is having hope, and with hope I reside
Writing lines instead of telling lies
Achieving goals instead of living in disguise
For there's a saying the truth shall set you free
But first it'll make you miserable
From lessons fought and lessons learnt
Perfection comes to all who pass its test
By embracing imperfections on the way through
I’m perfectly imperfect and so are you.
