I wanna create something, a ballad perhaps
But I feel blank, void and lost
which is why I used three similar words
In a bid to make my words lengthy.

I've listened to songs,
even to the sound made by the ceiling fan.
I've walked outside to observe the darkness
but the unending stretch
makes me feel hollow and lost.

I'm yawning, nature's trying to capture me
My feet are also cold from the blowing breeze
just as the moon and stars seems to be chanting ASAP
In my head–asking me to come explore the heavens,

But shall I answer this sweet call
when mama still says I'm the future?
Shall I give in to the heavenly bodies
and miss my promising exploits here on Earth?

I have developed a sour and bad taste,
caused by the constant tears that have washed down my cheeks
leaving me with an undecided destiny.

Life has fallen in the hands of uncertainty
and from its ugly hands I suffer.
Like an highly sought hostage
finally caught after so many trials.

Sometimes I want to live,
sometimes I want to die,
but whatever I think or feel
is influenced by this uncertainty.

S3L3:

You should avoid using abbreviations in literary works, assuming your readers know exactly what they mean.

S6L3,L4:

The word 'hostage' is inappropriate, don't you think? 'Convict' or prisoner' would have been better.
