APOLOGY TO OUR PARENTS

We were indicted by the fantasy of youth,
Coated with tidings of love and care,
When the ants came and melted us,
How bare we were with our loot.

We were dunce in all our ways,
Still with the heart that hungers for love,
our piety was just out of your ways,
All were in our ignorance.

With the veil over our eyes shredded,
And the eclipse over our skyline cleared,
With the ghosts of the years we killed haunting,
We rent our clothes in plea.

Times without number, on daily basis,
we never failed to fail you, not for once,
thousand times we sicken your heart with pain.
All these weren't in our reign, please rain your mercy.

Though we still have our defiant apparel,
Our hearts bleed with unabridged remorse,
Prodigal we may be,but we're apologetic,
We'll tread the rocky slides to atone for our sins.

With your eagle eyes I know you will see,
not even a spot do we ever wish to live in your hearts.
The best we want wasn't in the path we tread,
we plea with you, your prayers will lead us right.

S4L1: 'Times without number, on every daily basis...'

The word 'every' has no business there.
