Immediately i pulled into my son's school parking lot, I opened the glove compartment of my car and brought out a revolver. I didn't know what to think but the words of the coalition commander kept ringing in my ears

"Once you walk out of here, your entire generation will be wiped out, including you".
I mopped the droplets of sweat on my face and holstered my weapon. I need to get my family to safety first before my next plan of action will be considered...

Where are we going?

"Somewhere safe" i replied without looking at him.

"Dad, what's wrong?

"I'll tell you everything once you and your mum are someplace safe.

Samuel was given birth to, after series of miscarriage his mother went through. And as my only son, the best I could ever do for him was protect him from danger. The dangers I caused...
I brought out my phone and dialled my wife's line. After the third ring without her answering the call, I dialled my neighbor and told him to check out my house and intimate me with whatever he finds there.

"Why is mum not answering her calls?" Samuel asked.

"She's probably in the kitchen. You know how she can be sometimes" I replied without taking my eyes of the road.

"I know, but she's never let her phone ring out more than once without answering it"

"Trust me, nothing's wrong"

"I hope so" Samuel voiced out.

I tried to concentrate on the road but the mere thought of seeing my wife mutilated gave me goosebumps. I unlocked my phone and was about dialling her number again when my neighbor's call came in.
"Hey Bruce. Is she in?" I asked, cutting him short in his attempted unnecessary greeting.

"She is not in the house Michael"

"And she didn't leave any Message?"

"No, she didn't. But your house is kinda messed up"

"Messed up in what way?" I asked

"Your living room is in disarray. Seems like a fight took place here"

"You should get here..."

I terminated the call and stepped on the accelerator. My wife's probably dead...
