HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY!!!
Today we’re not just celebrating strong women everywhere, but anyone who supports, advocates, and works towards gender equality and the fair treatment of women and girls!
It’s 2019- and while much progress has been made, there is still so much to be done. Think about these statistics:
– One in three women worldwide have experienced violence from an intimate partner;
– Every two seconds a girl under the age of eighteen gets married;
– Every minute SIX girls are at risk of undergoing female genital mutilation.
These challenges won’t go away overnight, so it’s up to us to help change these statistics.
Let’s play our part today!
