#Day 26

The Atmosphere was so cold, the wind blew gently, the bird sang sweetly. Ijeoma observed nature and it’s beauty because she had know choice, She lost her parents in a ghastly motor accident. She had no relative support her. “Oh my world, what did I ever do to deserve this punishment. My only joy giver taken away from me just like that! She sobbed. Mum, Dad please come back is my tears not enough to bring you back? Didn’t you know I would be all alone in this world? Death why did you leave me behind do come and take me with you. I am no longer interested in living. She went into the house picked the small stool closed to the kitchen wall and the rope used to tie their goat. She moved to the back yard, the leaves had fallen which made the ground looked a little bit unkempt. She placed the stool on the ground , stepping on the stool she threw the rope in between the branches and tied it carefully making a ring with the rope. She placed the rope above her head and it was worn round her neck, “at least I would die in peace knowing I joined you people I can’t leave in this world all alone. Uncle chidi came yesterday to remind me that I have to leave the house I have no where to go to and I don’t want to die in the street. Please forgive me I know you won’t approve of this but I have no option than to do this. Tightening the rope she removed her legs from the stool intentionally.
“ Ijeoma why do you have to do this”, Kate came in through the back door shocked at what she saw.
“You would have at least hold on for a while and live for me. I know it’s not going to be easy but you would have at least waited”, she sobbed. Removing her friends body from the rope she said, “it’s a pity”.
