My bed was soaked in tears, who would believe me who would I turn to, I muttered to myself. If only I had acquired a skill maybe I won't be in this mess My name is Hope I grew up In Lagos my father lost his job when I was in 200 level my other siblings had to stop schooling so that the money would be enough for my education. Mum always told me to remember our present condition before I make a decision. My younger ones depended on me to be their saviour, all hope was lost.
When my course mate are receiving lectures during school hours, you would find me in onitsha begging, whatever proceed I made was put into my small grocery business. If only I had capital maybe I wouldn't face the humiliation of begging.
My whole life changed when I went to Dr Okoro's house to plead with him after I failed in his course all I could remember was that I woke up covered with blood. Oh! How I cried cause I promised to keep me for the man of my dreams. I regretted stepping my feet into his house but what could my regrets do, I had to clean myself up and leave. I decided to change my line of business since the door had being opened, my new business paid me well. I had enough money to send home to my family. No one questioned me on how I got the money all they did was to make huge demands. Daddy called me a month after my new business to ask for money. He said he needed it for business. I decided to give him the money so that the responsibility wouldn't be on my shoulder anymore.
Two days after I gave daddy the money for his new business, I decided to go street hunting rather than hiding in clubs. I was lucky to be stopped by a beautiful Jeep. I knocked on the glass and as the window was being lowered down right before me was my dad sitting in the front seat while a man unknown to me was at the driver's seat. "Daddy" I screamed in anger all he could say was "I can explian".
