#Day25
It was raining heavily, Chika came back from work looking so tired. The blue curtain reflected on the white wall, the ground was sparkling white as if it was polished every minute, the window was so neat that there was no dust in sight. The big TV hanged on the wall was switched on. The Atmosphere was conducive, She threw herself on the coach and her bag on the floor.
“What a life living so happily without a husband. What am I even saying am I even happy” she soliloquized . I can afford a car , I am a good cook and I am even a neat freak. What else are they looking for in a woman that I don’t have”.
She heard her phone ring and hurried to get her bag.
“Hello damsel, this is Mike from Evelyn restaurant we met today in the afternoon”. “metchew” she hissed and hang up the call. All this useless men that want to reap where they did not sow, that low class of a man he even had the gut to call my number with the card I gave him and I was even trying to help him incase he needs a job, Nonsense. Her door bell rang, who is that” she shouted.
“It’s me Chisom”
“Come in”.
“whats wrong with you” Chisom asked.
“Its one useless guy that just spoilt my mood, I gave him my business card with the intention of helping him incase he needs a job. He had the gut to call me and say hello damsel”.
“is that all, are you not a damsel? You know what there must be something wrong with you”.
“Excuse me, you can’t come to my house and insult me”.
Chisom laughing said “am sorry you sef but I am your friend and I must tell you the truth. Stop concluding try listening to people and give the reasonable ones a chance. You are too selective you know I love you and I always want to see you happy please try and change”.
Chika immediately felt remorseful and vowed that she would change. A year later she got married and was happy she listened to her friend.
