#Day 31

 

There lived a king in the land of Oko Named Ogbuefi . He was famous and known for his sorcery. Those who tried to overpower failed because even before they plan their strategy he used is magic power to stop it. The mystery behind his sorcery was not to eat Red meat. He always told his wives that they should avoid cooking with red meat. They didn’t bother asking him why they just felt he hated it. His first son Agu got admission to study in the university of Calabar. On the night he was about leaving king Ogbuefi called his son.
“ My son don’t forget your father is very powerful and has eyes everywhere always be careful of who you mingle with. It was revealed that you would be my downfall but I hope it doesn’t come true”, king Ogbuefi said.
“Father I can never betray you why would I ? I have always wished for one thing and that is to make you proud don’t be sacred your son loves you”, Agu replied.
“Well I am not scared but my visions are never wrong I know you won’t be the one to be my downfall but it would be someone close to you. Promise me that I would be the one to choose your future wife.
“Your wish is my command”, Agu replied.
Few years later Agu finished his university Education, during his department dinner party he made out with one of his course mate he had grown feelings for mistakenly. He found out few months later that she was pregnant, she decided to remove the baby but the doctor said it would cost her life. She told Agu and he concluded he would marry her because he was a good man. King Ogbuefi welcomed his son with a big party. Agu preapared a delicious meal with red meat in other to plead with his father. Presenting the food to his father through the maid he approached him, “ My king and my Lord I have wronged you please forgive me”.
“Who prepared this meal?
“It is I your son”
Looking frustrated and annoyed he asked “did you use red meat”.
“To make my father Happy I did”.
“No! It was predicted and now it has happened”, he struggled to breath for a while before he collapsed.
