#Day 21

It was the Eyinda festival, in Ekwere land. The people always anticipated this festival because it was the day their god, Goat would speak to them. Goat was a sacred animal in Ekwere kingdom, no one was allowed to kill it for meat or sell it. Goats are allowed to eat and destroy your crop , it was believed that anytime a Goat enters your farm it means the gods are hungry and want you to feed them.
Kunle a youth copper was posted to that village, he was tall, fair and Handsome. All the madiens in the village had their eyes on him. Kunle wanted to know more about the Eyinda festival so he asked Amanke who lived next door. “The Eyinda festival is usually accopained by the celebration of viginity. Young madiens are forced to sleep with Uwaken the King of Goats who is our father, before they get married, their husband to be must have intercourse with them in the shrine to seal the viginity oath. Yams are being cooked and sacrificed to Uwaken, vegetables are harvested and placed in the shrine, the last born of every family is expected to eat the waste from Uwaken”, she said. “Disgusting”, kunle said this is ridiculous how can one be forced to such wicked tourture. “Abormination! Who are you to call our tradition wicked ? Do you know how long it took us to get this far?, She said. “Am so sorry, but how can you all keep quiet and continue leaving in this deception this is pure wickedness”.
The goat nearby started bleating, “my father the great Uwaken I am so sorry forgive my manners”, Amanke started crying “he wanted to know the story and I told him. I didn’t know he was going to insult you please forgive us”. The soldiers around came closer to the scene and arrested kunle everything happened like a movie to him, all he could ask himself was the reason for his arrest.
