LONELINESS OF MY SOUL

once I closed my eyes, 

To sleep. 

I soon lost sight, 

I went deep. 

It slipped slowly, movement of moments, 

In my fruitless bid, to find pleasure. 

I surged through different unfavourable currents, 

Sailing far in seas of dreams and leisure. 

But I met emptiness, total emptiness! 

In an unrealistic world of no essence. 

Imaginaries, reveries and premonitions, eerie, 

Became my friends in this perdition and ennui. 

Terrible!

This despair, 

Tearing me in there, 

Oh what remedy! 

To this emptiness? 

This share of unfair, 

Greatness and revelling. 

What is of this earth, 

Partial and demeaning?

That moment, I died, 

Partially, life beyond my reach. 

I was alone, amidst heavy sighs, 

Unknown to my body,will this ever be of me? 

Found the difference between life and death, 

Will this be of me, when I'm stripped of breathe? 

This quick show of the loneliness of my soul, 

Eating me, all of me, as a whole? 

That moment, I was still, 

No movement, I stopped to breathe. 

The whole of me, subjected to nothing, 

And the mere thoughts of it, forever haunting.
