Kolade walked into the room with bloodstain on his shirt and his face swollen. His mother sprang from her seat and screamed; "Ah! Kolade, who did this to you?
"I'm okay." Kolade replied.
"What sort of response is that? You look a mess and all you can tell me is you are okay?" His mum retorted.
"Mummy, i am good; trust me." Kolade gave his mum a genuine smile. His mum opened her mouth to speak but couldn't as she was both shocked and surprised.
Kolade kept the smile on as he proceeded into his room. He retrieved his phone from his pocket to place a call.
"Hello!!" Said a female voice from the other end.
"Cassandra!" Kolade called out.
"I'm sorry, may i know who I'm speaking with?" Cassandra asked.
"Does the word saviour ring a bell?" Kolade replied.
"Kolade!! I really don't know how to thank you. You really saved my life." She said.
"Which knight wouldn't save a princess in distress?" Kolade flirted and Cassandra let out a laugh.
Kolade continued "I was wondering if we can go out for lunch or dinner once my face has got its shape back."
"Sure, anything for the brave knight." Cassandra replied and they said their goodnight.
"Make i call that mumu sef." Kolade murmured as he dialed a number from his phone book.
"Chairman!!" A man with a baritone voice hailed.
"Maxi, walahi you no try at all." Kolade tried to sound angry as possible.
"Oga, wetin i do now?" Maxi mocked.
"Wetin you do? You no see as you and your guys burst burst my mouth bah?" Kolade asked.
"Oga, you no go vex. Walahi, nah Alomo bin dey work that time." Maxi replied.
"Alomo kill you there." Kolade said before hanging up.
Cassandra and Kolade went on a date the following week. "You had a quick recovery." Cassandra started the conversation.
"Yeah!! Thanks to balm and hot water." Kolade joked.
"I wished Max had blinded your left eye." Cassandra said with a straight face.
Kolade chocked on his drink; "Excuse me?" Kolade tried to keep his composure.
"You had a plan with Max who happened to be my cousin to pretend to beat me up so you could save me?" Cassandra said and Kolade felt beads of sweat rolling down his face.
"But i love your approach baby. That was quite a stunt." Cassandra said as she sipped her drink.
"Busted!" Kolade said with his head down.
"Well, i had a nice chat with you. Please, do pay my bills." Cassandra said as she stood up to leave the eatery.
"Busted!" Kolade repeated.
