A SONG OF THE PEOPLE
Sing a song of the people
in psalms, long verses and notes.
Sing of an end to the struggles
how they come and go, to and fro.
Sing a song of the people, of little big dreams.
Sing of how opportunities toss away, swiftly down their wrists.
Their sweats become the morning bath, washing filth off their faces,
their hand become the fan, blowing these infinite sweats from their faces.
Sing a song of the people who put hands in mouth just in the middle of the day.
Yet they are filled with that inconvenience and their hearts make merry all day.
Sing a song of the people
whose treats are noises, struggles and pains.
They do not have dreams for every day is reality.
Sing a song of the people whose eyes watch every skirts and trousers,
calling here and there, " I have what you want brother".
Sing a song of the people
whose lives are our own views.
Their pain is what we know but we tend not to feel.
Sing this song aloud, over and over
until we build a haven which will serve, convenient meals from breakfast to supper.
