Only few can understand the lexicon of humble pride.
So calm as the sea,
And as ferocious as the torrents of the dove.
Pride raises your collar high,
Humility leaves your sleeves rolled up.
The proud breeds sad sorrows for themselves,
The humble aren't always contented with morsels.
Humility is crested on his face,
But deep within lies the pride.
Like pregnancy the personality slowly changes,
And the mask wears off.
The humble proud man is a serpent,
Smiling at your insult and showing maturity, he forgives you.
Yet he preys on you in his mind
Like a thief in the night he creeps up on you
Hurting you for what you thought had been forgotten.
You remain your humble self with hubristic words.
You masquerade self aggrandizement as altruism.
You always had more for people to see,
Than show glass had to offer.
The kickback of your humble arrogance,
Broke the piggy bank of your hard earned prominence.
Your hard earned love, your well deserved fall.
He uses himself as an example of humility to people.
"If I were to brag I would talk of my intellect", he says.
"Of my wealth and achievements but then let me not go there.
I am not saying I have never done bad,
I am saying I am always the first to apologize no matter the defaulter"
He beats his own drums
If only he had ears to notice that loud noise and not music resonates from it.

Nice collabo.
Avoid use of high-sounding words in your poetry: hubristic, aggrandizement, etc. Keep it simple and plain!
S1L6:
The proud breeds sad sorrows for themselves... (Should be 'breed', no 's'.)
