HOPE
With a look of hopelessness,
I sat down outside alone,
Oh at night!
But the night's music restored hope to me.
In the loud silence of the night,
Crickets sang in unison,
Flaunting their green lights.
Life gave me a reason to smile again.
The breeze that went past me felt different.
I looked up and saw a pregnant cloud.
The trees bowed down,
Praising the Creator.
The swaying of the trees from side to side,
Made leaves rustle in awe.
Hope came alive,
When the sand joyfully danced in the air.

Now my joy refills and my strength returns,
I must go after that which I seek.
Strength pumps in my muscles,
I know I am ready.
As I stepped out to face reality,
I had to do what I can do.
I no longer walk with no hope
I am my own person without remorse.
As the night became darkest,
The animals scurry back to their abode.
Something is out to shake our hopes.
We are grittier, we no longer live as forgotten.
When they tried to pull us up,
They forgot our hope is not of this world.
When they tried to hunt us,
We held hands and became unstoppable.
