QUALIFIED
From hands to mouth; from hands to feet
I pled, but nature lit
knowledge came with a strong teeth
soon infancy left me without intending to return
responsibility thwart me to fun on
My little fingers were pressed to write
My opinions and wills were crucified
my thoughts steered through the path of frailties
fear of failure domineers my feelings
accountability was played and I paid for all my
doings
I conscientiously climbed the stairs of knowledge and
my brain wobbled to think
head bowed in uniform and docilely learn
out-witted, sacrificed pleasure play and priorities to
sink
none of my ideas survived the massacre from the
bossy, steely man
the best legacy, against my will.
