We used to be so close
Talking to you came natural like breathing
We would talk for hours talking about anything and everything
When am close to you, my world felt right
We were perfect or so I thought
But days went by and the flames of our friendship dwindled like burning wax
The space between us grew wider while we looked to the other side
No, its not the distance in location
Just that our hearts no longer felt the connection
By the time we realized what was happening
There was already a barrier between us like the great walls of China
Yes, we tried to break it down and bridge the gap
But like a broken mirror you could still see the cracks
Little by little, the cracks gave way to a valley
And we realized our hearts no longer tally
Well its time to face reality
No more do we dance to the same beat
We have grown apart in more ways than we care to admit
Its a harsh reality, one that we have come to embrace
As I think of you, all that's left are bittersweet memories
I miss you, I miss the us that once was
And now there's nothing left to say...
