I am like a butterfly,
Beautified with word;
I can flap my wings and fly,
To all parts of the world.
I am like a zebra,
My stripes says I'm a wrighter;
I don't deal with algebra,
Yes you can call me a writer.
I am like a lion,
My ferocity is associated with a pen;
In ancient rome, a tabellion,
Dining with great men.
I am like an elephant,
My largeness is founded in knowledge;
I can easily sway the adamant,
Even without taking him to a college.
I am like a bee,
Busy articulating my opinion;
I can't let issues be,
Urging you to take dominion.
I am like a peacock,
Dazzling and captivating;
My word is like rock,
Firm and challenging.
I am like a chameleon,
Changing colours to fit in;
I have existed for an eon,
Writing words to sink in.
I am a lady,
A bit attractive on the surface;
I nurture words like a baby,
And it has nothing to do with my face.
I am a poet,
Fervently trying to make things better;
I urge you to take my words like moet,
And you will get the message in each letter.
ABIMBOLA MONILOLA.
