WHAT WOULD THEIR THOUGHTS BE?

What would their thoughts be,
If I were to say that
I no longer want to be associated with humans:
if I were to reject all of the education I've received
And were to burn the remainder of the notes I've kept in a scorching fire?

What would their thoughts be if I were to pluck out one of my eyes
Or were to cut off my penis
And offer it as a sacrifice like it is requested of us,
If it's the reason for our falling into temptations?

What would their thoughts be if I were to walk straight into
A large mass of water in search of the mythical mermaid
or were to walk the street naked and wave at every passer-by
with a smile?

Would they think of me as mad?
Would they laugh at me and silently wish me dead?
Would they think of me a god?
Even me, I'm not sure what I'd think of myself too.
