Twist of fate. Like a goblin;
I rise each morning in offering ablution to the law of my fatherland
Which in itself is a lie, a lie of a lifetime.

Yet I scooped it. I gulped it down my burning throat like one enjoying the sweetness of a cold beer and I don't need to talk you its adverse effect.

But I'm pained. Right from primary school till I came of age, they never cease to nail me for their reign, just for them to get the fame/the claps/the hails without giving me accolades. The accolades I deserve for believing in them. The accolades I deserve for burning candles not just at night but mornings for the darkness that surrounds my ambition and fear of the unknown after graduation.

The accolades....
That I came out with a Lower Credit because I refuse to sleep with beautiful lecturers or engage in "carrying masquerade" into the exam hall.
Oh yes! My full beards/tall height/and dark toned skin won't let me have peace.

Yet, I defy all charming gifts because job requirements needs a man of integrity. Integrity yet, it's no more of necessity!

Another year of service; a must
why isn't it a door to career start-up, I ask
But here I am, wallowing in mother's house who took LAPO to send me to the Polytechnic.

Do I need you know that each day, I die a thousand times and rise again? This system is indeed a thorn in my flesh.
They told me to aspire, to perspire so I can acquire just to raise my hope but all disappeared like a quenched fire.

How will I cater for my mother dying of
