Who am I?
What is it I stand for?
Maybe a lie,
Or deceit to the core.
Not enough.
Not one time, not ever.
Not in love
With me in the mirror.
Reflection;
Of my mirror and eyes,
Separation.
Each their own kind of lies.
Possibly,
I’ll draw blood again
To revel
In the red of the pain.
Yet I search,
I trust one day I’ll find.
Not a wretch,
She that feels me with pride.
She’s the one.
That girl so unlike me.
She has fun.
Then again, she is me.
I’m tired
Of avoiding the light.
In shadows,
Backing off from the fight.
But I’m weak.
Unwilling to be her -
The girl I seek.
I stay locked in a jar.
So for now,
I’ll keep telling my tale.
I’ll tell how
I hope to end this fail.
I keep faith.
One day I’ll find my strength.
On the gate,
I’ll make more than a dent.
I’ll break free,
Run wild and accept
Who I am.
Finally pass the test.
