I HAVE A DREAM
I have a big dream,
I have a dream.
To be the greatest son while i'm a father,
to serve the nation, the great Nigeria.
While this dream seems shattered,
and our hopes look tattered,
I hope to surge further,
to make my country better.
Our hopes severe,
walking quickly out of the doors of our hearts,
while we look bereft,
of changing philosophies and ideas.
The rivers refuse to flow,
neither do our boats row.
The beautiful birds sings sorrowful songs
on the bank of the rivers with their legs crossed.
The soil feeds on all,
both the old and the young.
Yet it yields nothing,
and its closed mouth is still hunting.
The bleak destinies of the youth have unclothed tomorrow,
while it's nakedness reveal a decline, searching for a boom to borrow.
The sages sap, their strength creaks,
weakness, the only language their bodies speak.
Our hearts and negativity are happily married,
and our thoughts and evil perfectly juxtaposed.
But if we continue to walk in the tracks of these haunting bridge,
when, why and how would we arrive at our own Rome?
Amidst these convincing confusions,
my dream still stands!
To be the greatest son while i'm a father,
to serve the nation, the great Nigeria.
