Where do they go?
Once they slip through the grasps of hands,
leaving a man with nothing but the feel of sands.
Do they go down street,
seeking a new heart to sit?
Do they fly around like the birds,
hoping to perch on new heads?
Or do they return to the home of dreams,
in deep slumber, hunting for new victims?
Where do they go, down to the depth of souls,
or beyond a man's reach, find new abodes each?
Or are they like the time,
ticking every second of life,
to end a day on a good rhyme,
and begin the next full of strife?
Where do broken dreams go, beyond the oceans and seas
or they become spirits, watching when next to attack our hearts with ease?

Great piece! However, your frequent deployment of inconsistent rhythm is worrisome.
