*The Paradox of Love*
When you say you love me,what do you mean?
Is love this confusion I feel when I see you?
That my heart refuses to be still when you're near?
What exactly does love feel like?
Your questions were mine till I met you
And with you came belief in the existence of love
Love is what my heart feels when I think of you.
For me; you are love and love is you.
This feeling confuses me
It makes no sense in my head.
Why does love come to you when you see me?
Why does it seem like the word doesn't do justice to my feelings?
If love doesn't initially confuse then it is not love
Because love is foolishness knocking on a wise man's door
Love is making yourself vulnerable and that is foolish
But in becoming vulnerable you become stronger and that is love.
Does that mean love is a folly that our hearts choose to display?
I think I don't like this word that is love.
For since I met you, I realized that I'm stronger than I appear
But I also know that you're my greatest weakness.
But if this feeling is what love is,
Then I fear that I am in love with you.
For thoughts of you is what keeps me going.
You're the sole star that brightens my dark skies.
I talk like a bard educated in matters of love
But it's just a mask for the confusion I feel.
Could you perhaps take my heart and guard it for me
As we embark on this journey to answer love's many questions together.
Nothing would give me greater joy
The keys to my heart are in your hands
As our hearts are entwined, so should our hands
Let us travel and find ourselves through this mystery called love.

A Review of Ogunmodede OluwaFeranmi and Anene Ebubechukwu Anthony's "The Paradox of Love"
This poem is a dialogue between two personas: one, less matured about the subtleties of love, while the other, a bit matured.
The personas, probably love birds, seem to affirm a mutual feeling, though while one is positive about the feeling the other observes it curiously.
The subject matter of the poem is love. The themes include: inquisition, worry, knowledge etc.
Recommendations:
Though, this poem in content bears the nature of a dramatic poem the opposite is the case in its form. The poets should make it seem like a dialogue or possibly put it in quotation marks.
