Beauty I say

*BEAUTY IN MY UGLINESS*

To think of my ugliness bites my soul.
To hear of my ugliness brings tears to my eyes.
When I weep, I weep the tears of pain.
Little did I know that beauty is not by looks alone.

Do you see me as being ugly?
Do you believe I'm ugly?
Did I not tell you I'm ugly?

Thoughts of such can never be erased from my mind.
I pray thee to be beautiful for once.
You look me in the eyes and tell me I'm ugly.
Why do you hurt my ugliness?

I decorate my face just to be beautiful, yet I turn out ugly.
You see my mates and you call them beautiful.
You say to me that they are more beautiful than I am.
I pretend it doesn't hurt,
If only I could open my body and show you how hurt I am.

Do I believe in being beautiful?
Yes.
Do I believe I can beautiful?
Yes.

If only you could see through me and know how I tear up whenever you tell me I'm ugly...
Would you be able to feel the pain I feel?

Blessed are those that are called beautiful and are truly beautiful.
Blessed are those that are doing all they can to be beautiful.
Cursed are those who call others ugly because of looks.
Beauty is not only seen on the face,
Beauty means a whole lot more.
