Pouring with life and sweetness to spread in life.
Red shines like the back palm of yam porridge, dulling
the senses with an alert vivaciousness and readiness
to grasp opportunities.
Blue is the peace maker, its smooth tone a constant
Spark of warning to be the best of oneness.
Purple is a glorious brother sending
electric love down the engine of one's spine. Yellow
makes your heart yearn passionately for the yesteryears
When Mama's soup pot called you to order mixing effortlessly
With the mockery that black is,
Feeling your heart with trepidation and uncertainty
at the very edge of a grippy decision.
