DAY 8

As the dream faded, she chased it, forlorn
Perhaps because she felt that
Dreams like that, craved by everybody
Is a caveat that should never be ignored.

When in the deep dark hole filled with water
She had felt lost & helpless.
Attempts to breathe were tough
As she struggled not to choke on the water.

The sky became cloudy,
It rained in torrents.
Her afflictions increased
Some forces wanted her to suffer.

Then suddenly the fog settled on the cold breeze,
Her anxiety calmed,
The dawn crept in,
The darkest hour is just behind.

The lurking hope brightened her face,
Then she giggled, but the expression soon melted like snow.
She wished it had come like the normal stars,
Alas, the star was black and scary.

Tears began to drop,
And she was soon wailing.

She began to call for help,
No one looked down at her as they walked past
But soon, someone threw down a rope.
"Climb" he said.

But she refused.
"Trust is hope," he said
And slowly withdrew the rope.

Then she woke up & he was on his knees, with a ring.
