#DAY 33
Take me back in time,
As far back as the 1900's
before the chains in which we were
Clasped changed hands.
Take me back in time,
I want to have a taste of how
It felt, to be loyal subjects
To the people who brought guns
and education to this very land,
I'd love to know how people fared,
I want to see if hunger and
Insecurity was prevalent back then,
Like it is now.
I'd like to know, if incompetent ones
with reputations were the ones in charge
And if they had the stomach
For swallowing money, like these ones.
I am very interested in knowing,
If those at the helm of affairs back then
were good to us, even though
they lacked the melanin of these ones.
Take me back in time,
I'd like to know the better oppressors.
The dark skinned or the white skinned ones?
