#DAY 23
The sun's no longer showing us mercy,
It's starting to reveal all of itself,
Capitalising on our failure to secure
the roof of our one home, that has been
shielding us since time immemorial.
Like us humans, the greens are also begging
for salvation from the sun that's gradually ripping
them of their glory, our walls are now shaking,
This ray is penetrating through our safety.
Soon, if we refuse to do the needful,
Rains that will fall will no longer be refreshing,
They will wash off the walls of our respective homes
and disfigure the skin we so much cherish
before finally drowning us in their very hot torrent.
Where do we go if this place can no longer harbor us?
Let's start working to conserve nature.
Dear friend! Don't burn too much toxic fuel,
Earth is the only abode we've all got,
Give a hand and let's help it strive.
Plant a tree or two or as much as you can.
