Petals of roses and lilies
thrown at your feet to step on.
Practice only befitting for royals.
This day on your birthday, a queen was born.
You needed no crown nor sceptre.
You needed no throne nor palace.
You ruled with your cries
and showed compassion with your smiles.
All ruling traits didn't vanish
as you moved into adulthood
to assume the mantle
of leadership as earth's queen.
