NOSTALGIA
When I was young, my dreams were like the mountains,
rigid and strong, drawing life from a fountain.
I saw myself wherever I wanted,
I was free, inspired and motivated.
As I grew, my dreams became a valley,
sitting amidst two high hills,
while the stream ran across it,
suppressing its strength and will.
Yesterday, my dreams were like the heart of chased robber,
beating to and fro, here and there like a blotting paper.
The heart and the beat fused to nil
as if life was fleeting with each movement of the heel.
Today, my dreams are like a kite
wavering in the hands of a boy,
stepping into the face of the sun
daring to get burnt!
Today, my dreams are like a smoke
strong and bright initially,
only to be swallowed rapidly by the atmosphere,
until it is nowhere near the sight of men.
