THE DISASTER

The sun poked its head out of the clouds;
Greeted the world with its warmth,
Peeped through curtains,
As the birds decorated the sky.

As soon as the clouds rumbled,
The sun slowly vacated its position;
Brightness quickly wore its opposite attire on the earth,
And the birds returned to their nests.

The pregnant cloud roared like a lion,
It bore thunders and lightning;
They destroyed walls,
Notifying the world of their coming.

Shut doors flipped open,
Roofs absconded,
Leaves detached from their parents,
Spread clothes relocated.

Soils jubilated in the air,
Refuse traveled up to join in,
Wires disconnected themselves;
Total darkness kissed buildings.

Soon, the clouds begat tears,
It cried a river,
River transformed into an ocean,
Running into homes,
And throwing out properties

Nowhere to hide,
People ran helter skelter;
Cries of help,
But no one dare went out.
