Tunde and his girlfriend, Tosin finally reached his parent's house. It was nicer than he had described. Then they both entered the living room and seated directly opposite the door was his mother who was raptly watching the tele. Her eyes which was now ravenously rolling around suddenly hit a small compartment with a desk to her right on whch his dad was seated, reading a newspaper. So she quickly turned to greet him.
"Tosin!"
Her mission to greet Tunde's father was truncated by that scream of her name. It was Tunde's mother who had began already to scold her moral upbringing. She was still shivering from the shock and contemplating within herself how she'll apologize to Tunde's mother who was still talking when his sister came out of her room into the living room.
"So, you are the one eh?" She yet again had to abort the apology mission to face the young lady talking to her like they've known eachother for ages.
"I...I...Hello dear..." She was abruptly cut short again by Tunde's father who merely said, "Young lady, you are really not going to greet me all day?"
At this point, she was so confused that she could be seen looking around for Tunde to inform him of her plan to either forcibly have him control the situation or leave take her out of the house. But to her surprise, Tunde was calmly sitting at the dinning table, eating! She then decided to face the embarrassments squarely.
But yet again, before she could utter any words of apology, the lights of the whole house suddenly went out and came back on, and then a shout of something which unfortunately met her on the ground...
She had fallen down, manifesting a strange kind of fits.
"Oh God, Tunde! Get my car keys!" Tunde's father roared in so much fear."
"Honey, I just knew this was a bad idea, oh poor girl! Ayomide, why are you just standing, get the wool in the medical kit for the spittle, will you?!" Tunde's mother ordered his sister.
After some minutes, she regained consciousness and tried to open her eyes slowly. She saw Tunde over her, sweating and fidgeting like a cow being lead to the slaughter. She pulled his shirt close to herself and whispered in his ears, "April fool!".
