DOES GLOBALIZATION HELP UNDERPRIVILEGED PEOPLE IN THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES? 

According to Wikipedia, globalization  is the process of interaction and integration among people, companies, and governments worldwide. I will say it is the fusion of the vast blue planet into a global village. 

Globalisation has indeed helped the third world countries, but I strongly opine that it has very little or no effect on underprivileged people. 

Social media is one of the handy tools of globalization, how accessible is it to underprivileged people? How beneficial is it to people of the lower class? The very poor in the society? 

A presidential candidate recently said that most of the Northerners in Nigeria are not on social media. What he meant was that the very poor and downtrodden in northern Nigeria are not on social media!

The average underprivileged person in third world countries barely feed and when they do, they do so from hand ro mouth. Levering on Globalization is the least of his worries. 

The underprivileged live in their own minute world and nobody seem to care about them. To others, they're just a lart of the population and don't count. 

• First, why are they called Third World Countries? They are called Third world countries because according to history, they are nations that positioned as independent throughout the Cold War. Normally, these countries are usually defined by unavailability of resources and high poverty rates.

   

  Globalization has infact proven to increase the standard of living in developing countries, due to the interconnection of different parts of the world, which enables businesses to operate on an international scale.

    Although, while globalization has aided the growth of developing countries, it has done more harm than good on local or emerging economies and individual workers, that is, the underprivileged people.

   

  Due to globalization, the working conditions of people at some points in the supply chain has become deplorable. Some countries’ workers begin to earn less than other countries’ workers, when the same amount of work is done.

  Furthermore, employment opportunities for children in poor countries may increase negative impacts of child labor and lure children of poor families away from school.

   

  I’m conclusion, I believe that in as much as globalization has helped developing countries, it has also encouraged an environment that exploit workers in various countries that do not grant sufficient protections.
