How I shortened my sweet dreams.

I lost my dad when I was in my mummy's womb, I was born and trained never with silver spoon.
I was the only hope she has on Earth.
I struggle all day and night just to achieve my aims and objectives in life.

After my secondary school, I settle down as road side bread seller for two years, before I got admission to study business admin in the University of ilorin where I met odimbo and onono, then I could not rent an apartment due to my financial status but they accommodated me.

They both lived silly lives, smoking, drinking, clubbing, but they took me like a sister and I did every thing I could to please them.
So I smoked, drank and club as well.
I gave all my all just to make them love me. We held each others hand and promise to be there for one another anytime, anywhere.

With them my life was so sweet, full of love, and care.
They made me realize the wise man's saying " family is not all about blood, but meeting people who are willing to go extral mind with you and for you".
Though Heaven knows that onono and I fight alots but our differences make us unique.

After our graduation we all went our separate ways, to face our lives, then I moved to my fiance's house, four months to my wedding.
All of a sudden, everything started turning upside-down.
I was diagnosed of breast cancer due to my life style back then in school with my friends .

At this point everyone abandoned me when I needed them most and my wedding was cancelled.
I could not take the pain anymore.
I was just thinking what will happen to my mum when I am gone.
I can't even tell her my pain.
How will she raise money for my operation?
Where will she get it from?
And how will I tell her my wedding had been cancelled?
All because I don't want her to suffer because of me.
Suicide was my next option and that is how I shortened my sweet dreams.
The dream to spend my life with people I Love,
The dream to have enough money and help people.
The dream to be in a position to save lives and make positive impact.
And the dream to be an inspirational writer.

MORAL: People who fail to use their emotional skills are more likely to turn to other, less effective means of managing their mood, they are very prone to experience anxiety, depression, substance, abuse and even thoughts of suicide.
