WHEN I WAS A CHILD

I could sleep like a baby and be sound like a man
My eyes could reach beyond my farthest sight
I could be the Best Doctor so effortless in saving lives
I could be the kindness of wealth bestowed for men in lack
My cries let out the stress and my heart knew no depress
I'm still a child and could seat up a chair, lost in thin and thoughts of the air
I hope to laugh and draw water from the back of my heart
To make me believe again that the best is yet to be

When I was a child, I had every right to go wild.
Lacked so much knowledge, I alwAys asked why?
So full of life, I never wanted to die.
When I was a child, I never wanted to be like my dad, he was so bald.
When I was a child, I had no worries to bare
When I was a child, my smile was Heavenly Light to this dark world
Back when I had built my own world,
Filled with imaginary fantasy,
Now reality is all I see.
When I was a child,
Only if I could feel that way one more time,
But I don't get to be inclined.
