POPULAR PARTICIPATION

Frantically, Nigeria is in shambles currently due to the decline in economy and high rate of poverty which is birthed from the poor leadership-followership relationship.     While many may deny this fact, it is true that the mismanagement at every governing level has brought all these fall in basic and important things like the epileptic power supply, scarcity of food, the pride of money, unequal share of the country's largesse, etc. It is a known fact that Nigeria is struggling, an irony when we look critically into her affluence. Leaders have taken to the enriching of their own pockets and have failed to perform civic duties thus accruing exorbitant fame individually and dispatching hardship to every nook and cranny of the country.     We will agree also that the actions have followers too have led to this ludicrous decline. Political apathy, tax evasion, indifference to state rules and regulations etc have been some of the 'norms' we practise. All of these with the leaders' blemish go on to amount to difficulties in the country. While we have decided to shy from our rights and obligations, the leaders have embraced money laundering and vices which should be stopped if we want progress.    Tomorrow, 16th of February 2019, there'll be  presidential and senatorial elections worldwide. As good citizens, we should participate and not differentiate. We should see it as our thing and not their thing. Each and every of our votes count, let's not seat and hide in our beds thinking whatever will be will be. No, it is what we decide. Remember, it's our chance to elect the one whom we think will change things for good. Why stand back and let the chance slip?    We all hope for a better Nigeria where the decline will become a boom, the hoi polloi become the gliteratti, the worst becomes the best and recession becomes progression. All these amongst the myriads of dreams we have everyday. Now, let's make it real by birthing a Nigeria free from troubles, a Nigeria whose youths dazzle, a Nigeria out of the woods, a Nigeria that boasts peace in her hoods and finally a Nigeria where happiness is the only mood.    #Exercise Franchise #Build Nigeria  Aj Maverick.
