It was just about the rainy season, Lanre was still sick. He has been sick with a mysterious ailment since the previous rainy season. It is mysterious because no doctor could give it a differential diagnosis. Even the name given to an illness with multiple and non-specific symptoms; syndrome, seems unfitting for what he is suffering from.
His father, Mr Fakunle has sold all he has in consultations. Everyone they met, including doctors, pastors, herbalists and even mallams saw nothing wrong with him. His mother during the course of this got depressed, so, Mr Fakunle decided to sell his last house, just to clear their bill of #520,000 at the All Fountain psychiatric hospital where she was being treated. Yet, Lanre's condition remained the same. They seem to have lost all hope as even God seemed so far away. Every day came like his death was imminent but he just mysteriously sails through.
Lanre is a 28 years old graduate of Banking and finance from the Denmark University of Finance, Western Europe. He was the lead student during his undergraduate days and was liked by all of his lecturers and most of his course mates. He was popular for his many talents. Aside his high intelligence quotient of over 150, he was also the best in the school's dance team and one of the best in the singing group. He, by virtue of these qualities found his way into the heart of all and sundry in the university.
This didn't go without raising dusts. Some bullied him for his fame, especially those, racist among the citizens of the country. But, all of the time, Dr Fenando, one of his lecturers and mentor whom he had met on the first day at school stood by him, protected him and guarded him in counsel and even monetarily when his father got retrenched once during his final year, though, he got called back after his convocation.
In all though, he wasn't proud, neither was he arrogant. He was this very temperate, calm, ever smiling, intemerate and godly nigger who couldn't stand people saying a course is difficult or anyone suffering. He ensures that everyone within his sphere of influence gets the best at most things they stretch towards. He was simply humane and human.
During his second year in school, precisely, the third day of resumption, he decided to take a walk to the school's cafeteria to get some food and that was where he met his doom which unlike others wore a pure white top with a red Jean to match her red versace shoe.

Plenty structural issues, lack of cohesion, misuse of words... But the message sinks in.
