SUICIDE (DAY 7)
Suicide! At the call of that name, attention is drawn. Different thoughts begin to run in everyone's mind. One would imagine a girl who took a poisonous substance; another would think of a man who jumped into a lagoon; another would imagine one who hung himself, etc. At the end of every imagination comes the conclusion, "Killed himself or herself."
Suicide here, suicide there. It is high time we started having time for everyone we see depressed; not just every down-spirited individual, but even ones that mask their pains with a smile on their faces.
There is an eye called observation--- this eye seems to have been ignored by us, and later worn after a loved one is gone already. Then, perspiration of sweat stays out on our faces, and with quivering lips, we say, "And he once said he wanted to see me, I didn't have time then. I observed that..."
The world calls out for change, and it starts with you and me. A change towards suicide, a change where we rescue the depressed souls; the ones who call us to give a listening ear to; the ones we see and notice all isn't fine with.
It is also time to put a stop to "killer jokes." At a point a man tells an individual about his problem, and concludes that he just wishes to die, but the response he gets is, "Go and die, friend. You that I want to even kill sef." He then smirks. A change is needed towards this.
The bed is now a place where solace is found by the one you don't give attention to; the bedsheets are the hands that wipe away their tears. Slowly, that boy is dying; slowly, that girl is dying. A lot of thoughts running in their minds, looking to arrive at the word, SUICIDE!
You read this, you are a product of change. Say no to ignorance, accept listening to know; and be very observant of people.
